Description : A dozen speakers of international repute will attend a two-day Rural India Business Conclave 2.0 being organised next week by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) at the agricultural centre’s premises in upstate Kasaragod. ‘Ways to make use of technology for the growth of rural India’ will be the theme of the June 11-12 summit, which will see Bengaluru-based venture development incubator Social Alpha pitching for providing financial aid to five Kerala startups that make products with a social influence. Prominent among the speakers at RIBC 2.0 in CPCRI’s Kudlu campus off Kasaragod will be Nagaraja Prakasam, Angel Investor and Startup Mentor, Acumen Fund; Mathew Joseph, Co-founder, Fresh-To-Home; K. Rupeshkumar, Coordinator, Kerala’s Responsible Tourism Mission; Dr Anitha Karun, Director, ICAR-CPCRI; Mohammed Hisamudheen, CEO & Co-founder, Entri App; Robin Tommy, Head, TCS Rapid Lab; Ajayan K. Anat, Managing Partner, Vrddhi CTS; Kishore Indukuri, CEO & Co-founder, Sid’s Farm; Manjunath Marappan, Founder & CEO, Happy Hens; ICAR representatives Dr K. Srinivas and Dr Sudha Mysore, and ESAF Retail Director Thomas K.T. The inaugural 2020 edition of the conclave gained national attention for providing a platform for its country-wide delegates along with experts and startup entrepreneurs. This year’s top participants include investors such as Startup India, besides Social Alpha and institutions such as Central University of Kerala, LBS Engineering College and Kerala Agriculture College of Kasaragod district.
