Field Microscope
Background:
High motile sperm in cryopreserved semen is essential for better conception rate in field condition through artificial insemination (AI). But there is no facility available to check the sperm motility of a semen dose that would be used to inseminate particular animals at the time of AI. Technology Details Keeping these difficulties in mind we designed a handy and portable microscope namely ‘Field Microscope’ especially for the evaluation of sperm motility in field condition. As a result of the configuration, it is possible to perform to evaluate sperm motility at any desired place and time. It helps to maintain the temperature when atmospheric temperature is either very cold or hot. No electric power supply is required to operate instrument. Other routine microscopic examination like diagnosis of skin parasites, endoparasite in feacal sample, first degree endometritis and trypnosoma (Surra) can also be performed at farmer’s door steps.
