Dystocia is an emergency condition causing huge economic losses to the bovine industry due to details of either dam of fetus or both. It also impairs the future fertility of the affected dam. Relieve of dystocia is of primary concern for veterinarians and animal owners to save the life of both dam and fetus. “Fetal Extractor” developed by ICAR-IVRI is an obstetrical instrument suitably employed for relieving the dystocia by correcting defects and for forceful traction.
