After harvest of the crop, stalks of crops like cotton, red gram, Lantana Camara etc. are difficult to pull out from the field. These crop growers are facing the problem of removal of stubbles in field especially small landholders and hilly region farmers. Mostly women workers are associated with stalk uprooting. The developed manual stalk uprooter would be an appropriate cost-effective aid to mechanize the uprooting operation in many ways such as; It is lightweight (4.5Kg), gender friendly, simple, handy and easy to fabricate useful for uprooting stalks of crops such as cotton, red gram, lantana camara etc.
