A micronutrient composition for ginger (for acidic soil pH < 7)

Background:
Ginger is grown in 175 thousand ha area in India (2020-21) with a production of 18.84 lakh tons of fresh rhizome production. Over past five years there is 5.5% increase in cultivated area of ginger. Almost 55% of the ginger growing tracts are falling under acidic soil pH. The majority of area is in Karnataka state, NE states like Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur and other states like Kerala, Odisha etc. where the soils are acidic (pH < 7) with low to medium in potassium, magnesium, zinc, boron etc. It is also cultivated in Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand where these types of acidic soil conditions are prevalent. For increasing the productivity of ginger in these soils it is essential to correct the deficiency of essential nutrients that are required in definite proportion:
Technology Details:
For increasing the productivity in these alkaline soils (pH < 7) it is essential to correct the deficiency of essential nutrients that are required in definite proportion to the crop plants. This product is developed with definite proportion of essential micronutrients and other nutrients required by ginger for foliar application and it gives 15-20 % yield increase by supplementing essential nutrients, in these soils.
