CISH-Autorotatory sticky light trap

Technology Background:
Glue traps or sticky traps do not remain effective for long if they get covered in dust, dirt, debris, or insects. Typically, they are effective for about 10 days in areas with high dust levels and up to 25 days in cleaner environments. The effectiveness of the traps also depends on pest pressure and attraction levels. When traps become ineffective, it is advisable to clean them with hot water, although this can be cumbersome. Therefore, multi-layered traps that can last for several months might be necessary. Additionally, hot melt glue is often applied to yellow boards, which have limited insect-catching capacity. Despite their uses, these products face several limitations, including being messy to use, unattractive, costly to manufacture, and having limited market appeal due to their specific applications. The combination of light and glue in traps has been infrequent. Thus, there is a need for a straightforward device that integrates both elements. Technology details:
Our technical advancements have addressed the limitations and drawbacks of traditional glue traps whether sticky, glued, colored, or coated through the development of the CISH multilayer sticky trap. By incorporating light with the glue trap, we have enhanced its effectiveness. This is a hybrid trap that act as light traps in the night and as yellow sticky trap in day time. Therefore, it works 24 hours insect trap unlike the independent light trap or sticky traps which act in night and day, respectively. The sticky substance is non-drying, non-freezing, water resistant and heat-resistant glue. Once the sheets are covered with the insects, it may be changed.
