CISH-Multilayered, dual color glue trap
Technology Background:
Sticky cards are usually made of a layer of sticky glue affixed to a piece of cardboard that has been folded into a tent-like shape to shield the sticky surface. If the glue is covered in dust, dirt, debris, or insects, the glue traps/sticky traps do not last longer. In dusty environments, it usually lasts 10 days, while in less dusty areas, it can last up to 25 days. But the level of attraction and pest pressure also has an impact on how long the trap lasts. When the traps stop working, it's advised to wash them in hot water. Because it is a laborious procedure, a multi-layered trap that takes several months to complete may be required. Because of their limited use, they may be difficult to deploy, ugly to look at, costly to build, and have little marketability.
Technology details:
The old sticky trap developed by CISH was single-colored, and there was a need to design and test a dual-colored version. As a result of this invention's improvement through the combination of sheet colors (blue and yellow) and size in a single embodiment, the two open surfaces of the traps have two distinct colors. It is non-toxic, non-pesticide based, provides 6 sticky surfaces for insect attraction over the period to overcome the problem of repeated washing or replacement of sticky traps. As a result of this invention's improvement through the combination of sheet colors (blue and yellow) and size in a single embodiment, the two open surfaces of the traps have two distinct colors, hence attracts insect of different order
