Herbal Extract for the treatment of seasonal dermatitis in horses

Seasonal allergic dermatitis in horses usually develops due to hypersensitivity to the environmental allergens such as insects, bedding, feeds and pollen grains. Clinical signs of atopic allergic dermatitis includes wheezing, pruritis, hair loss and orthokeratotic and parakeratotic hyperkeratosis. Insect bite hypersensitivity (IBH) commonly called summer itch/sweat itch, is also a hypersensitivity reaction against Culicoides spp. in horses and have worldwide prevalence. At present there is no effective treatment for these skin diseases in horses. Present product was extracted from the leaves of Aerva javanica by using solvent-based fractions. Spray of our product on the affected skin for 20-30 days once daily is enough for healing and recovery.
