Background:
As commonly practiced, a chicken/duck is killed by twisting of neck or hitting the back with hard objects. Neck cutting/hallal is not practiced in NEH region. The bird experiences prolonged struggle and pain resulting in death. The humane killing cone is designed with an objective of humane killing of birds to reduced time and pain in the process of slaughter.:
