Thrips, a critical early-season pest in cotton, damage seedlings through their "punch and suck" feeding, causing stunted growth, poor crop stand, delayed boll formation, and significant yield losses. Resistant to multiple insecticides, thrips also act as vectors for plant pathogens, exacerbating their impact. To address this, ICAR-CICR developed ICAR-CICR-BVT, an eco-friendly formulation that enhances yellow sticky trap (YST) efficiency by 175%, effectively managing thrips while promoting plant growth and soil health.
