JHO 822 is multicut oat variety recommended for the Central zone of India. It is widely adapted in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Plants are erect type having 50% flowering in 95-100days. Maturity (seed to seed) in 125-130 days. Panicles are equilateral and seeds are medium plumps and bolder than cv. Kent. This variety is suitable for multi-cut (3-4 cutting) with green fodder yield of 44.0-50.0t/ha and dry matter yield of around 9.5t/ha. Continuously high breeder seed indent is being received since last 10 years.
