Pusa Decomposer Technology
Background:
The food grain production of India has touched the landmark of 271.98 MT in 2016-2017 and
consequently, the amount of agro-waste has also started to escalate and has reached about
960 MT annually. The burning of agro-waste is a constant hazard to human and animal health
and represents a major source of environmental pollution. Crops like wheat, maize, rice, and
sugarcane contribute the maximum quantity of organic waste along with vegetables.:
Technology Details:
The recycling of this agri-waste is both an ecological necessity and economic compulsion.
Similarly, vegetable, fruit, and kitchen waste when degraded properly are great sources of
nutrient-rich compost. Pusan Decomposer Technology is a microbial-based strategy (liquid
formulation & capsules) which degrades the waste (pit or windrows) and converts into
nutrient-enriched compost. This is an eco-friendly and environmentally useful technology in
true with the Govt of India’s “Swatch Bharat Mission”.
