Technology Details:
ICH-5 can increase the yield of castor by an average of 15-21% over the existing hybrids in the recommended states. It has also recorded higher test weight (>30 g per 100 seeds) even under rainfed cultivation.:
• ICH-5 recorded a weighted mean seed yield of 1671 kg/ha and oil yield of 750 kg/ha pooled over 14 trials (2018-21) which is superior by:
• 21 % seed yield of the best national check GCH-8 (1378 kg/ha):
• 19 % oil yield of check GCH-8 (630 kg/ha):
• ICH-5 recorded a weighted mean seed yield of 1753 kg/ha and oil yield 786 kg/ha pooled over 11 trials (2019-21) which is superior by:
• 15 % seed yield of the zonal check, ICH-66 (1521 kg/ha),:
• 16 % oil yield of check ICH-66 (680 kg/h
