It is long day variety released for Uttarakhand, HP, J&K in 2012 by CVRC. It possesses a higher bulb weight (30-38 g/bulb) with 10-15 cloves/bulb with less storage loss and high TSS (0Brix) (37.3). Besides high yield and bulb quality, it also possesses resistance against purple blotch and stemphylium blight under field conditions. The optimum time of sowing in hills is September to October. The average bulb yield is 150q/ha (low and mid-hills) 250 q/ha (above mid-hills).:
