It is long day variety released for Uttarakhand in 1991 by SVRC. It possesses medium bulb weight (80-120g) with very good storage quality and is tolerant to purple blotch. The suitable time of sowing in mid-hills is 15 October and transplanting is the last week of November to the first week of December. The average bulb yield is 400q/ha under mid-hill conditions.:
