Powder based formulation of Pseudomonas fluorescens (NBAIR-PFDWD), an antimicrobial 2,4- diacetylphloroglucinol (DAPG) producing biotic and abiotic stress tolerant strain for diseases and Thrips species management
Technology Details:
Pseudomonas fluorescens is a plant growth promoting rhizobacteria that imparts abiotic stress
tolerant ability to the treated plants. The bacterium, Pseudomonas fluorescens survived in high
temperature, salinity with drought tolerant attributes. The isolate produces plant growth promoting
enzymes like phosphatases, proteases, chitinase, cellulase, ACC deaminase and secondary
metabolites like HCN that is involved in pest and disease management. The isolate was effective in
the management of Thrips species from different vegetable crops and soil borne Fusarium species.
